We recently completed a drone-based facade inspection and “As Built” 3D reality capture mission at the new Lincoln Common high rise development in the Lincoln Park neighboorhood of Chicago. Hines and WE O’Neil are the general contractors on the project.
Facade inspection is typically a lengthy and expensive process using traditional methods. Our drone-based facade inspection service is a fast and affordable way for project managers and property owners to decrease the cost and increase the speed at which ongoing facade inspections are completed.
Our automated vertical flightpath allows for fast and repeatable documentation of your high-rise development or already constructed building.
We later processed the images to create a 3D point cloud of the building, which can be exported to BIM and compared to design plans making sure the “as built” and the as planned are matching up.
